Trash and Recycling: Trash is picked up on Monday and Thursday. Recycling is picked up on Mondays only. Any deviations from the normal schedule due to weather or holidays is posted here (enter your address and zip code). More information can be found here.
Yard waste collection is limited to biodegradable paper bags, averaged sized containers, or bundles (or a combination thereof) per pick-up day.
Residents must place yard waste out on their scheduled yard waste collection day, from March 1 through December 24th. Grass clippings, leaves, and twigs can be placed in biodegradable paper bags or personal containers marked as ‘YARD WASTE’. (NOTE: plastic bags are now prohibited by Fairfax County.)
Brush and limbs must be less than 6 inches in diameter, cut into 4-foot lengths or less, bundled with rope or twine and cannot exceed 50 pounds. Yard waste or bundles that do not meet these set-out requirements will not be collected.
More than 10- bags and/or bundles of tied yard waste may be scheduled for a special pick-up at an additional charge.
Republic Services does not collect dirt, bags of mulch, sod, rocks, open containers with poison ivy/oak/sumac, or un-contained brush with thorns.
Snow removal: Snow is plowed from the cluster parking lots when accumulations exceed 1 inch. For large accumulations (>6 inches), the Board of Directors may institute the Snow Emergency Plan which makes room in the parking lot for snow piles in pre-identified locations. Anyone affected by the Snow Emergency Plan will be contacted in advance.
Landscaping and Maintenance: Cluster property is maintained by Cardinal Landscaping. Homeowners are responsible for raking and bagging leaves from their own property. Several times in the Fall and early Winter, residents may rake their leaves into the parking lot for pickup — dates will be posted on this website and a flyer will be sent to each home.
