Yard Waste Collection Suspended

Effective Monday, March 30, 2020, Fairfax County Collections is suspending the requirement to collect yard waste. This means that our collection provider, Republic Services will not be collecting yard waste on Wednesdays, until further notice.

The Purple Can Club (glass recycling) has also been suspended:

  1. Collection of glass dropped off at purple, glass-only containers is suspended. Containers will be removed from existing locations throughout Fairfax County.
  2. Residents can bring glass to containers at the I-66 transfer station and I-95 landfill complex, or glass can be placed in the trash.

Event: Community Meeting to discuss Baron Cameron retail, pedestrian circulation and safety, Village Center and Community Spaces, and Tall Oaks Village Center

Location: Aldrin Elementary School, 11375 Center Harbor Road, Reston, VA 20194

Time: 8:45 am – 11:30 am. Doors will open at 8:30 am.

The Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning will be accepting comments on the Working Draft through December. You can find a digital copy of the Working Draft and draft Land Use map online. We look forward to receiving your comments.
